Maruti Brezza Price Slashed Up to ₹1.12 Lakh After GST 2.0 – Updated Prices

Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza, one of India’s most popular compact SUVs, has just received a substantial price drop thanks to the GST 2.0 tax reform. Effective September 22, 2025, buyers can save between ₹43,100 and ₹1,12,700 depending on the variant.

The Brezza’s new ex-showroom prices start at ₹8.25 lakh, making it a more tempting proposition in the fiercely competitive sub‑4m SUV segment — especially with the festive season around the corner.

GST 2.0 – The Game Changer for Compact SUVs

Under the earlier tax regime, the Brezza attracted a total levy of 45% (28% GST + 17% cess) due to its 1.5‑litre petrol engine. GST 2.0 replaces this with a flat 40% GST and no cess, cutting the tax burden by 5%.

Maruti Suzuki has passed the entire benefit to customers, revising prices across petrol‑manual, petrol‑automatic, and CNG variants. This isn’t just a token cut — on top trims, the savings are enough to cover premium accessories, extended warranties, or even the first year’s insurance.

Why This Matters for Buyers

The Brezza has built its reputation on a mix of urban style, robust build quality, and Maruti’s unmatched service network. The GST-driven price cut makes higher trims — especially automatics and CNG variants — more attainable.

For city buyers, the savings could mean stepping up to a sunroof-equipped ZXI+ without stretching the budget. For fleet operators, the reduced CNG prices improve running‑cost economics, making the Brezza a stronger business case.

Festive Season Timing – A Strategic Play

With Navratri and Diwali approaching, showroom traffic is set to surge. By announcing the price cut now, Maruti positions the Brezza as a high-value festive purchase, directly challenging rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.

Market Position & Outlook

In August 2025, the Brezza sold over 13,000 units, holding a strong position in the compact SUV leaderboard. The addition of factory-fitted CNG earlier this year broadened its appeal to cost-conscious buyers. Now, with the GST cut, Maruti has lowered the entry barrier further — and analysts expect Brezza bookings to spike in the next two months.

If you’ve been eyeing the Brezza, this is the moment to act. With substantial price drops across all variants, the compact SUV’s value proposition has never been stronger.
